Promotional products… they have been around since the beginning of time, and remain current. What once started with missionaries who brought mirrors and beads with them to prevent ending up in a stew, has turned into a business of electronic amusement and elaborate jewellery promotions. At the core, however, it remains the same: we want to appease the recipient. Although the chance of ending up in a stew is very slim nowadays, you don’t want to get someone in a stew by giving the wrong gift, or worse, no gift. Furthermore, the Latin proverb “ignoti nulla cupido” remains true: unknown, unloved. Luckily, we can help this with promotional products!

The EPPA Academy deals with the many aspects of promotional products. What are they? How can you use them effectively? What are some creative ways to use them? What about the financial and fiscal aspects? How do advertisers (i.e. buyers) view promotional products? What laws apply to promotional products? Why is a certain promotional product made out of a certain material? What are the main printing techniques? What about the logistics, packaging, quality control, ICT? We will answer all these questions and many more you might have!

In the academy program we will introduce you to the wonderful world of promotional products. Within the 10 courses latterly all aspects of the business will be explained. It is about the role of promotional products, calculation, prices, project management, , the role of the advertiser, legal matters, materials, processing , conformity assessment, supply chain management and ICT, logistics, Code of Conduct

The idea

Toppers Table will be a new format of exchange of knowledge , concepts and understanding within our industry between distributors and suppliers from all over the EU, speaking the same language. It’s a creative one-day-and-a-night experience somewhere in Europe for a max of 16 talented people. A professional discussion leader will be the host and coach. Table members pay for this creative learning experience and the exiting diner night after it.

The industry will only be recognized as an individual business sector if we are able to define our market. Therefore one of EPPA’s secondary objectives is:

  • Collect statistical information about the industry

  • Create a database of relevant European research and studies

  • Create a database of relevant industry norms (like ISO, REACH, IECEE, etc.)
  • Create a database with all applicable law & regulations for promotional products industry

  • Complete available (statistical) databases and information in cooperation with (national) associations
