Thomas Hendriksen Appointed President and CEO of EPPA European Promotional Products Association

Thomas A.M. Hendriksen has been appointed by the General Members Meeting of EPPA (European Promotional Products) to the position of President and CEO. Current President Hans Poulis will retire from this function as his agenda requires more time for his job as President of IGC , the worldwide partner in promotional products and gifts, based in Rotterdam.


Things to do


Hendriksen and the new Board are stepping in on a challenging moment. The first CSR certificates have been issued, and the certification will be rolled out within Europe. The market is challenging and moving quickly, also legislation and the code of conduct are two hot issues. Hendriksen: “ All these issues have to be taken care of and also I will work on a good relationship with the member countries and with Brussels. I will look for new funding, so our organization can fulfil her job in an even better way. Our market has been taken seriously within Brussels just because we have EPPA representing 28000 companies within Europe dealing with our products. In times of changes you need an industry organization as a platform”

About EPPA European Promotional Products Association

The European Promotional Products Association (EPPA) was established in 1999 as an umbrella organization for the European promotional product market. Its membership consists of associations from 14 European countries representing suppliers (manufacturers, importers) and distributors (promotional product traders and consultants). The promotional product industry has been influenced by the increasing internationalization of its business operations and, due to its extensive range of products, is heavily dependent on EU legislation. Therefore, EPPA’s primary concern is to shape the basic political, social and economic conditions of the European promotional product market to balance the local and pan European needs and requirements.
